About TELGO Golf Club
The TELGO Golf Club began in 1985. The club was created for the employees of Roseville Telephone to play golf one night a week after work. There is no charge to join the club. You just need to like golf. The format of the games each evening is a competition between the four golfers in each group. You would receive 4 points for lowest score and down to 1 point for highest score in your foursome. At the end of the season the golfer with the most points would be the club winner for that year. The season is 16 weeks of play with the week of July 4th off. As time went on the number club members grew. The club leaders decided to move the golf night over to Diamond Oaks Golf Course. This would give the club a bigger course and restaurant to use. We played there for several years. As that year come to an end the members were asking if the club could move to a different golf course. The members wanted a change of scenery. So we made arrangements for the club to move to the Del Web 9-hole course. We played at this course for 4 years until most of the players were worried that they might break a window in one of the houses on the edge of the course. So the club moved back to Diamond oaks. Diamond Oaks is still the player’s choice for a golf course.
